Becky Barnett is an art educator with over 20 years experience of specialising in Primary art education. She designs and delivers whole-school art curriculums, supports school art coordinators in auditing and strengthening their curriculums, and trains and mentors teachers through inset and twilight skills development sessions.
Becky delivers her highly successful school art skills programme to Primary age children, combining provision of essential foundation art skills for children with CPD for teachers.
Becky’s delivery incorporates the framework of the National curriculum alongside the requirements of Ofsted’s ‘Deep Dive’ expectations. She is highly skilled in all practical art curriculum areas, and at breaking this down simply for others to understand. She includes live drawing, demonstration and videos in all her work, making her lessons and training sessions engaging, exciting and inspirational.
Encouraging and enabling creativity, and inspiring children and adults to creatively express themselves, is at the heart of all Becky’s practice.
Becky has facilitated many other projects involving creation of large-scale installations, banners and sculptures made in collaboration with the children to decorate schools with curriculum-related art.
Becky holds a fully enhanced DBS check on the update service and holds Public Liability Insurance up to £5 million. She is a member of the Artists Information Network.
